Hessian Film and Cinema Award
At its annual awards ceremony, the state of Hessen honors directors of outstanding feature films, documentaries, and short films, as well as screenplay authors. In the area of young talent, the state of Hessen awards the University Film Prize for the best graduating film and, since 2017, the Hessian Newcomer Prize. The state also awards the Minister President's Honorary Award to an outstanding achiever.
